Simple man. A D-License coach, a referee, and a guy who took over State Soccer Cup in Michigan for under 18 boys and girls. It was already an event for boys and not so for girls. I consolidated the tournament at specific sites where 300 boys teams would compete in one weekend and 150 or so girls / young women would compete at another site. Never done before in Michigan.

For me, it was a lot of work and fun except for parents. I had one parent arrested for shoving a referee and kept control of the politics.

To say I was not excited watching these individual players joining together as a team would be an a lie. It was exhilarating to see them win and express their joy at individuals. None of them I know; but, I would like to think that somewhere I played a part in getting them there. WE are amazing when we can come together.
